I went to 'there.com' and had a play around and also 'Active worlds', i liked 'there' a lot more than 'Active world'. As good as they were it took a long time for everything to load, which sort of sucks, but still cool . The graphics were not that flash and if you want to talk to someone be prepaired to wait. Give me medal of honour any day or call of duty. I guess if you live in the middle of no-where, or actively a recluse, this would be one way to break out of your normality for a while and pretend to be someone your not, make some new 'on-line' mates and mabye get your new you some action. The enviroments are designed for socializing, you meet your friends, you go shopping or dancing os sky surfing on snowboards... I don't think it will actually lead us anywhere unless we want it to! My guess it will be a minority thing that will push it's advancement. Bottom line; it is all good fun to play pretend, but you have to turn the PC off some time and get on with the task at hand. LIFE!!!
